Europe Heatwave Kills 1,300

Berlin1,300 dead in Europe’s worst recorded heatwave, WHO said.

Germany hit 41.7°C for a third consecutive day; France counted 1,000 excess deaths in 5 days as 4 countries topped 40°C simultaneously.

The heat has disrupted nuclear generation and overwhelmed hospitals as it moves east into Poland and Hungary.
