The Food and Drug Administration committee decides which peptides compounding pharmacies may manufacture — a ruling that directly benefits the majority who prescribe them.

Biochemist Paul Knoepfler said the panel confirms Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s intent to favor unproven peptides.
