NASA Repurposes Rover for Moon

WashingtonNASA is repurposing its Perseverance test model.

PROMISE would survey the Moon’s south pole on nuclear power, operating through 2-week lunar nights that disable solar missions.

NASA also awarded $590m for 4 robotic landers due in 2028; no PROMISE deployment date has been set.
