Vertex Buys Crinetics for $10B

BostonCrinetics shares jumped 101% on the news.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals will pay $85 a share for Crinetics’ approved acromegaly drug and its pipeline therapy for congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

The deal still needs Crinetics shareholder approval and regulatory clearance to close.
