Australia Charts Own AI Path

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Australia will choose its own path to “manage” artificial intelligence, avoiding both the EU’s binding law and the US’s light-touch approach.

The choice will decide whether local rules bind foreign AI models or merely request compliance.
