The Massie amendment to strip $3.3 billion failed 104-314, but a majority of voting Democrats supported it, splitting leadership: Whip Katherine Clark for, Hakeem Jeffries and Pete Aguilar against.
The underlying bill, which still funds Israel’s military, now awaits a full House vote.
