Researchers found cerebellar-cortical connectivity rises and cerebellar-thalamic connectivity falls in first-episode psychosis, with milder shifts in high-risk individuals.

Unaffected relatives showed no such changes, narrowing which circuit disruptions actually predict the disorder’s onset.
