Clouds Have Been Hiding Warming

LondonClouds have quietly blocked 0.32 watts of warming.

Columbia University researchers traced low Pacific stratocumulus decks to 1979, finding they thickened as the eastern Pacific stayed unexpectedly cool.

Scientists expect that region to warm regardless, thinning the clouds and unmasking heat the decks have hidden.
