Flawed Seeds Drain 500 Wallets

Toronto594 bitcoin left 500 unrelated wallets in 25 minutes.

Coinkite says Coldcard devices running firmware 4.0.1 or later on Mk3 hardware generated predictable seeds — the random number a private key derives from, guessable rather than stolen.

Owners of affected firmware are told to move funds; whether the coins reached a mixer is unconfirmed.
