Army Guns Test Hypersonics

YumaA cancelled supergun now fires hypersonic warheads.

Flight tests cost tens of millions and fly only a few times a year; firing warheads from a cannon lets engineers repeat the test cheaply within a week.

The US Army has not disclosed the velocity reached or when full deployment follows.
