Italy Space Agency Board Quits

RomeThree directors resigned to let one commissioner run the agency alone.

The Italian Space Agency’s statute has no provision for a president’s death.

Their resignations trigger a special-administrator law, replacing the board with one ministry appointee for up to 12 months.

The commissioner will represent Italy at December’s European Space Agency ministerial meeting.
