Homeland Security Sets H-1B Fee

WashingtonHomeland Security proposed a $103,265 H-1B fee.

It applies to workers already in the US changing status, not only new hires.

The Homeland Security Department set the fee through rulemaking, bypassing Congress, after courts blocked a similar fee in June.

A 30-day public comment period must close before Homeland Security can finalize the rule this year.
