Little Red Dots Puzzle Astronomers

BaltimoreRed dots may pack a billion suns’ mass.

That mass is more than early-universe models say is possible.

The same spectrum could come from a compact starburst or gas falling onto an early supermassive black hole.

The competing black-hole explanation is not yet excluded, the Nature Astronomy study says.
