ParisDiesel averaged 2.41 euros a litre Sunday, a record.
It broke the record set Saturday, after fuel prices worldwide rose since the US-Israeli war on Iran began in February.
The average comes from Economy Ministry listings at more than 8,700 filling stations.
Unleaded 95 petrol, above 2.17 euros, has stayed over its 2022 peak for more than 10 days.
