Authors built a Blue Well-being Index and ran it through climate scenarios, finding losses hit low- and high-income countries alike.

Under a low-emissions scenario, the study projects an 11% gain across 76% of coastal nations.

The index rose from 2000 to 2021, and high-emission scenarios reverse that gain.
