UnstSaxaVord took £378,000 for a launch rail, then abandoned it.

German rocket builder HyImpulse must now bring its own rail for its second SR75 flight.

The UK Space Agency awarded the Project SkyReach grant in December 2022, and its 2023/24 report listed the rail undelivered.

HyImpulse’s own rail came from a separate programme called SHARP, backed by just under £5 million.

The UK government pledged £30 million on 8 September to ready SaxaVord for regular orbital launches.
