Russian state news agency TASS reported Abbas Araghchi’s claim that over 5,000 people died in Iran.
He said states that opened territory, bases, airspace and intelligence infrastructure to the US and Israel enabled the attack.
TASS reported the US resumed strikes on 8 July, saying Iran violated agreements on the Strait of Hormuz.
