Belgian Rover Books Blue Moon

BelgiumA 20-kilogram rover will ride Blue Origin to the Moon.

It would be Europe’s first fully commercial lunar rover mission, financed by customers rather than agencies.

Public funding built the LUVMI design, but payload reservations and operations contracts pay for the mission itself.

Launch has slipped to early 2029, more than a year past the Q4 2027 target set in March 2025.

The baseline mission runs 10 to 14 Earth days at the south pole, covering up to 5 kilometres.
