Volkswagen Recalls 2.9 Million Cars

BerlinOne corroded bolt puts 2.86 million cars in workshops.

Corrosion can fracture the bolt and cause steering failure, Germany’s transport authority said.

The recall covers Tiguan, Touran, Golf and Caddy models from 2013 to 2024 plus 700,000 Audis built from 2017.

The authority reports no such incidents, and Volkswagen says drivers can keep driving until a dealer replaces the bolt.

Affected owners now wait on dealer appointments for the replacement.
