KarachiPakistan’s anti-terrorism court has acquitted the final 7 police officers.
No one now stands convicted for a killing the state’s own inquiry called staged.
Malir police said Naqeebullah Mehsud, 27, died as a militant in a 2018 shootout that a later inquiry found staged.
“Naqeebullah’s killing was merely the spark,” said Ismail Mehsud, a veteran activist who led the justice campaign.
No further appeal is possible, and the staged-encounter finding remains unanswered in any court.
