Norway will pay almost NOK 650 million for a second Andøya launch pad.

The state, not the commercial operator, will own the pad.

Andøya Space, 90% state-owned, will lease it, reversing the earlier plan to wait for a long-term launch contract.

Isar Aerospace holds the first pad and flew its Spectrum rocket successfully from Andøya on 5 September.

The 2027 budget on 7 October is due to allocate NOK 323.3 million.
