NASA Blackbird Vanishes

EdwardsSR-71 Tail 844 has been missing from NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center since at least May.

NASA has talked to former SR-71 staff about flying it again after 27 dormant years.

Satellite imagery of Armstrong shows it gone, after NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman teased an X-plane with a Blackbird-like silhouette.

NASA has not said what it plans for 844 or the X-plane.
