2 men are charged over a Yom Kippur terror plot.

Police say the pair contacted an overseas third party who may be in Iran.

Rahman Salehi, 34, and Salam Ahmadyan, 36, allegedly sought bomb components and scouted targets before their arrest in Manchester on 20 September.

Iran denies a role in a separate alleged plot at Royal Air Force Fairford, which detectives say is unconnected.

The pair appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
