LondonBritain’s regulator wrongly told whistleblower Simon Andriesz he lacked protection.
Andriesz, 57, who alleged Epstein ties to commerce secretary Howard Lutnick, took his own life.
The Financial Conduct Authority apologised for the error and has asked new board member Lea Paterson to review how staff handled him.
Lutnick denies any personal or professional relationship with Epstein, and BGC Group disputes Andriesz’s allegations.
John McDonnell’s parliamentary group wants an independent review and may take evidence itself if the regulator refuses.
