New YorkAn agent fired 7 rounds, hitting the driver’s neck, police say.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent fired with a 5-year-old boy inside the car, unharmed.
The US Department of Homeland Security, which employs the agent, says it is investigating, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the scene.
The department says the man, a Dominican national, has a grand larceny conviction and alleged gang ties.
Governor Kathy Hochul wants body-camera footage released, and Mayor Zohran Mamdani says agents moved the wounded man out of hospital.
