The plane plunged 16,000 feet in 30 seconds.

The UAE attorney general says the co-pilot meant to crash the flight into Ben Gurion Airport.

Flight FZ1073 was over Saudi airspace when the co-pilot hit Captain Smit Machchhar with a cockpit crash axe.

“I was not very sure that I’ll make it out alive from this,” said Captain Smit Machchhar.

The Omani suspect, transferred to the UAE, remains under a criminal investigation opened 1 October.
