About 30 cameras at Kottbusser Tor now feed behaviour-scoring software.

It is the first automated video surveillance in the city, running in test mode since 6 October.

The software draws stick figures over filmed people, compares their movements with training data, and alerts officers when something looks police-relevant.

The Social Democrats defend the system, the Left wants it dismantled, and the Greens have not said.

Coalition talks start in early November, and an evaluation is planned for 2028.
