IslamabadPakistan has recorded 7 wild polio cases this year.
It is one of two countries, with Afghanistan, where wild poliovirus remains endemic.
Five cases are in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two in Sindh, the Pakistan Medical Association said, which it reads as ongoing local transmission.
Attackers killed 2 police constables guarding a polio team in Balochistan in September, the association said.
The association demands provinces place vaccination teams under high-security protection.
