Court orders Salvador’s transport secretary arrested over runoff buses.

Residents reported late or missing buses, and the secretary, Pablo Souza, is in Paris.

A judge inspecting the bus rapid transit depot found many idle vehicles, and a supervisor said the mobility secretariat ordered a smaller fleet.

The secretariat said at least 75 buses were kept in garages over stickers bearing Lula’s campaign number.

The court ordered every bus back within an hour, free of fares, or a R$1 million hourly fine.
