A 19-seat electric airliner with 10 ducted fans appeared in photos.

It is a full-sized demonstrator from state-owned COMAC, though no one has confirmed it has flown.

Ten electrically driven ducted fans in the wing replace conventional turboprops, a design called distributed electric propulsion.

The photos first appeared via a Chinese blogger on 28 October, and their authenticity is unverified.

COMAC’s published targets are 400 kilometres per hour and a 400-500 kilometre range.
