Court Voids Atiku Nomination

AbujaA court voided Atiku’s nomination a day after his launch.

It also removes David Mark as head of the African Democratic Congress ahead of 2027.

Justice Peter Lifu ruled for a former deputy chairman, Nafiu Bala Gombe, invalidating decisions of Mark’s leadership, including the primary.

The party cites a 2 July ruling by Justice Musa Liman upholding Mark’s leadership, in a separate suit.

The party says it will challenge the ruling but has not confirmed filing an appeal.
