Two Long March 10 launches will take astronauts to the Moon before 2030.

China’s officials say the plan starts a lasting Earth-Moon transport system, not one landing.

Separate rockets carry the 26-tonne Lanyue lander and the 3-astronaut Mengzhou ship, which dock in lunar orbit.

The cost is two dockings 380,000km out, with less room for error than at the space station.

Long March 10A flies the uncrewed Mengzhou-1 in the second half of 2026.
