Nigeria’s drug agency says South Africans now help cartels move drugs, reversing a South African claim about Nigerians.
Couriers from Cambodia and Thailand route through Doha, and one arrested with 36.65kg of cocaine was promised R20,000, the agency said.
South Africa’s government says more than 500 Nigerians passed through its criminal courts by 7 July.
Nigeria’s parliament banned official visits to South Africa in September, and neither government has dropped its claim.
