Israeli strikes destroyed Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, killing seven, and the Lebanese health ministry counts 17 hospitals damaged since 2 March. Al Jazeera's carry puts the cumulative toll at nearly 9,000 killed since 2023. None of this explains the pound's movement, which stayed inside its managed band.
