Guaira’s Government Erased by Quake

CaracasNearly every local official in La Guaira died.

Acting President Delcy Rodríguez said Venezuela’s worst-hit state lost most agency heads; her government counts over 855 buildings damaged, 127 destroyed, and 800-plus aftershocks since June 24.

Rodríguez said Caracas would announce rebuilding-focused economic measures the same day.
