Qatar’s Gas Emir Dies

The father emir, who seized power in a 1995 coup and founded Al Jazeera in 1996, died Sunday at 74.

Son Tamim, who inherited the emirate in 2013, now runs Qatar’s US-basing ties as Iranian strikes hit Doha.
