Venezuela Talks Exclude Machado

CaracasFiguera, not Machado, leads Venezuela’s opposition delegation.

The US chose her because she heads the 2015 assembly bloc it still recognizes as the country’s last democratically elected legislature.

Machado will judge the talks by whether institutions are restored, prisoners freed and elections scheduled.
