Saab’s second US money-laundering trial starts September 8.

He was previously a bargaining chip, freed in a 2023 swap with Venezuela.

The US Department of Justice says his network diverted more than $350 million through third-country banks and shell companies.

Saab has pleaded not guilty to money laundering and international financial conspiracy charges.
