Nano-Clove Oil Fights Fruit Fly

CairoParticle size grew from 110 to 170 nanometers.

The peach fruit fly destroys mango, guava and citrus crops across Egypt and Pakistan.

Clove oil is insecticidal but evaporates within hours in field heat, so coating it in chitosan slows the release.

The authors tested this only in the laboratory, with no field-scale trial yet reported.
