Vande Mataram Debuts At Fort

New DelhiAn Army band opened the Red Fort ceremony with Vande Mataram.

It changes, for the first time, the order millions across India watch every August 15.

Modi hoisted the flag afterward, and the band closed with the National Anthem.

Whether the sequence becomes permanent for next year’s ceremony has not been said.
