FTSE Russell will reclassify Nigeria from Unclassified on September 21.

Passive frontier-index funds must now buy Nigerian equities in proportion, moving capital no roadshow can.

FTSE removed Nigeria in 2023 when currency controls trapped investor funds, with the naira now near 1,342 to the dollar.

FTSE’s index files publishing September 2 will confirm the reclassification’s weighting.
