BengaluruHindustan Aeronautics delivered none of 12 due trainers last fiscal year.

The ₹6,838-crore programme depends on engines from US firm Honeywell, officials said.

Honeywell owes 88 engine kits under a $100 million contract, supplying 16 units while Hindustan Aeronautics builds the rest.

“There is an engine-related issue as Honeywell has tier-1 and tier-2 supply chain issues,” said chairman Ravi K.

Honeywell has promised 6 engines by December, and supplies should stabilise next year.
