Iran Targets Turkmen Trade

TehranIran and Turkmenistan are targeting $3 billion in annual trade.

Turkmenistan is Iran’s route to Central Asia and a source of part of its energy needs.

Iran’s customs administration says non-oil exports to Turkmenistan reached $495 million in the nine months to 21 December 2025.

Tehran’s report gives no current total for bilateral trade, so the target has no stated baseline.

Officials in both countries say they are working toward it in the Iranian year that began 21 March 2026.
