ParisESA picked Airbus and OHB to study a European-led space station.

Europe is deciding whether to keep its own presence in low Earth orbit after the ISS.

ESA asked the studies to draw on the Columbus module and Orion’s service module, with initial spending reportedly capped at €1 billion per three years.

ESA takes proposals to member states at the Rome ministerial meeting on 15 December.
