The private school housed preschool, girls and boys in one building.
The bombing came one week into Ramadan, after Iranians went to bed hearing that talks were progressing smoothly.
“I wanted to find a school that would address Fatemeh’s needs and her active mind,” said Yaghoub Yazdanpanah, a Persian literature teacher whose 6-year-old daughter attended.
Yazdanpanah had kissed Fatemeh goodbye that morning before walking to the school where he teaches.
