IEA Releases Oil Reserves

IstanbulThe International Energy Agency will release 100 million barrels of oil and fuel.

Agency chief Fatih Birol said prices are already falling.

Birol said the agency will start releasing the stocks again, beginning with diesel, after a meeting with world leaders.

Birol gave no price figure, and Brent stood at $114 on 29 September, down 0.8% in 7 days.

Birol gave no timetable, no crude-diesel split and no list of releasing countries.
