Igbokoda32 people were aboard a military aircraft that crashed.
No casualty figure is confirmed, and the air force has not said who the passengers were.
Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said preliminary information shows 25 passengers and 7 crew on tail number NGR 931, which lost radio contact at 0913 hours.
The air force identified the aircraft as an ATR-42 flying Benin to Lagos, and says search and rescue is ongoing.
Nigeria’s police say an investigation is ongoing, and the air force has promised further details.
