Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to end the march demanding Khan’s release.
Punjab extended a ban on gatherings of 5 or more to 15 October, citing threats of suicide bombers.
“Enough softness has been shown,” said Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry.
The government is seriously considering governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a government source said.
