US inflation has topped the Fed’s target for 5.5 years.

IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said so while praising Fed chair Kevin Warsh’s focus on price stability.

She spoke before next week’s IMF and World Bank meetings in Thailand, and said long-term inflation expectations remain anchored.

“Inflation is only anchored until it is not,” Georgieva said, citing Bulgaria’s hyperinflation.

Polymarket traders give 83% odds of no Fed rate change on 28 October, up 27 points in a week.
