New DelhiDelhi Police removed Jantar Mantar from the protest-site list.
India’s capital now designates Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground and CBD Ground for protests instead.
Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar signed the standing order on 11 October, as security tightened after calls to gather at Jantar Mantar.
“We do not accept this arbitrary decision,” said Saurav Das, co-convener of the Cockroach Janta Party.
Das asked whether the Ministry of Home Affairs consulted any stakeholder before deciding.
